The US has around 80 million people who migrated to the US between the years 1820 to 2015, this includes 42 million who were alive in 2015. In 1790 the US population was only 3.9 million people, 950,000 of those people had immigrated to the colonies. In 1790 around 62% of the immigrant that came to the colonies were from Europe, and from that 45-50% came from The United Kingdom or The Republic of Ireland. Between 1820 and 1920 around 32 million people came to the US, and 90% of these immigrants were from Europe.
