9/24

Overall I agree with the points of the cartographers in the video and how we should change to the Gall-Peters map, but there are some points that I either didn't understand or didn't agree with. In the video they talk about how the size of a country or continent may change the way we see a country and how powerful it is. However later on in the video they talk about how Greenland and Africa look roughly the same size on the traditional map but in reality Africa is around 14 times the size of Greenland, the part of this I didn't understand was that even though Greenland is represented as being much bigger than it really is it still isn't that powerful in the worlds view. They say that the size changes how we see power but Greenland is pictured as being large but in fact it is not perceived as having much power in todays world.
